Jean Minnich

Passed away peacefully on Friday May 17, 2019 at the Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre at the age of 92 years. Jean was born on January 18, 1927 to the late Gurney and Mary (Bush) Slingwine in Tower City, Pennsylvania. She later married James Minnich on February 1, 1947 in Tower City, he preceded her in death on October 25, 2011. Jean spent her free time playing card games, she especially loved Rummy, Greed and Chinese Checkers. She also enjoyed playing board games and spending time at the casino. Above all Jean enjoyed treating her grandchildren to her cupboard full of sweets. She is survived by her children James (Diane) Minnich, Linda Lambel, and Mary (Jim) Spindler. Jean is also survived by ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren. Jean is preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Hoffman, son- in- law Peter Lambel and her siblings Mark Slingwine, Larry Slingwine, Ruth Raudenbush and Jack Slingwine. A memorial service will take place at 11:00am Friday May 24, 2019 at W.L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am until the time of the service on Friday.
