Passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at Cartwright Care Center at the age of 84 years.
Jean Eileen Raymond was born December 31, 1931, in Saginaw to the late Ed and Helen (Weir) Raymond. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School and later resided in Hemlock from 1949 to the present. She married John C. Hohman on April 15, 1950. He predeceased her on June 1, 2010. Jean was a mother, homemaker, and partner in Hohman's of Hemlock. She was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary's Church in Hemlock. Jean was also a leader of the 4-H Club, an avid card player, a passionate fan of Michigan State University sports, and enjoyed Detroit Tiger baseball.
Jean is survived by: her sister, Colleen (LaVern) Bender; her sons and her daughters, Dr. John (Sandra) Hohman and his children Amy (Matt) Urick and Emily; Judy Brown and her children Jennifer (Joel) Walen, Chris, Erin, and Matt; Andrew (Cindy) Hohman and his children Randy and Molly; Leonard (Lori) Hohman and his children Austin and Shannon; and Nina Hohman and her children Michael, Caroline, and Tommy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole and Jeffery Hohman, and her great-grandchildren, Connor, Lilly and Owen Walen; and Taylor and Brooklyn Dawe. Jean was predeceased by two sons, Dr. Stephen T. Hohman and Vincent P. Hohman; and a grandchild, Jessica J. Tessin.
Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church Hemlock, 151 St. Mary's Road, Hemlock, MI. Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road on Monday from 1:00 until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Liturgy. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Chapel.
