Jeanie Marie Shuster

Our loving sister and aunt passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Age 70 years

Jeanie was born May 19, 1952, to Arlin and Edna(Pauline Good) Shuster, in Owosso, Michigan. Jeanie was the eldest of eight children. It makes sense, she was bossy and did things her way. She was fun, generous, kind, loving, independent, and so memorable to all who knew her.  Jeanie loved to be pampered and was our Princess. She developed polio at a very early age, but the disabilty didn’t stop her from doing most everything we all did. As she aged, she developed more health issues and things became harder for her. Jeannie resisted a wheelchair until she could walk no more. She strongly struggled beyond what most of us could ever imagine and still managed to have a career and live independently.

Jeanie was amazingly talented in so many things, an expert seamstress and crafter to perfection.  She loved pulling weeds and kept a beautiful yard. Jeanie was a do it all office dispatcher for trucks. She loved her job, employers and coworkers of Saginaw Asphalt. She did anything it took to get the job done. Serving for over thirty years, even after they sold to another company.

Surviving her are her six siblings, Debbie (Joe) Neubecker of West Branch, Paula (Bob) Montgomery of Geneva, Fl., Susan (John) Cherniawski of Caro, Sally (John)Wilson of Midland, Janet Shuster of Fenton and Jim (Christine) Shuster of Clare; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She adored all of them and shared something special with each one of them. From reading them bedtime stories, teaching them crafts, singing nursery rhymes to them or making them Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. She was predeceased by her parents and her infant sibling, Barbara Jo.

Jeanie will be sadly missed by so many who loved and adored her. A special thank you to all her wonderful friends, her "Buddy" Tom Fowler who helped in keeping her house and yard beautiful. Her friends of Owosso High School. Class of 1970, especially Sue Chrenka, who has been constant in supporting her.  She loved you all!

Honoring Jeanie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. She would ask in her name to just look out for one another and love each other.
