Jeannette Artice Nicol

Jeannette Artice Nicol Burt, Michigan Passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at her home with her family by her side. The daughter of the late John and Lucy (Washer) Mackley was born March 31, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Daniel L. Nicol, August 3, 1968. He survives her. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Second and Federal Sts. She had been employed by H & K Store; in sales at Whitehead Music in Saginaw; managed Sassafras in Birch Run and several other area stores. She was an accomplished seamstress and painter, making draperies and painting storefront murals. She loved to sew, play golf, travel up north to Linwood Beach and most of all spend time with her grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband, Daniel, are a son, Daniel L. Nicol Jr. and his fianc, Becky Lytle; Four grandchildren, Madisyn, Paige, Daniel III, and Keegan Nicol; two brothers, two sisters and their spouses, Gary and Cheryl Mackley; Mark and Susan Mackley; Marsha and Dennis Armstrong; Louann and Raul Venegas; a brother-in-law and his wife, Nathan and Nancy Nicol; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Two brothers, Tom and Brian (Rusty) Mackley and a brother-in-law, Dennis Nicol, have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be in Blumfield Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. .
