Jeremy Richard Smith Milwaukee, Wisconsin Formerly of Saginaw How do you say "good-bye" to a part of yourself?! Our loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Jeremy, left us way too soon at the age of 37 years. He died suddenly, December 22, 2015, after a very brief illness. Jeremy was born July 20, 1978 in Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw Township Schools, graduating from Heritage High School in 1996. He was a very proud Spartan, graduating from Michigan State University in 2000, with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources. After graduating from M.S.U, Jeremy, spent the next 8 years working in the Detroit area living in Royal Oak, Michigan. In 2008, Jeremy's career path took him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he lived, loved, worked and played until the time of his death. Although a Wisconsin resident for almost 8 years, Jeremy remained loyal to his Michigan sports teams- Tigers, Red Wings, Lions, Pistons and especially his M.S. U. Spartans! Go Green! Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Tom and Kathy Smith; his sister, Melissa Smith; his uncle, Patrick Smith; his uncles, Bob (Ruth) Dunn; Mike Dunn; his aunt, Vickie Sochacki; several very special cousins and their families, his girlfriend, Gwen Janda; and wonderful, loving, loyal friends, too many to count. To know him was to love him. Jeremy will be remembered for his deep love of family and friends, his contagious smile and his knack for bringing people together. We will love him, miss him and cherish him in our hearts and memories till we meet again someday. We thank God for his life and entrusting us to be his Mom and Dad. We couldn't be prouder! Cremation has taken place. Funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2016, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Saginaw. Rev. William Rutkowski will officiate. Visitation will be at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. John Vianney Catholic Church or the charity of their choice. A memorial service will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a date and time to be determined later.
