Jerome Francis Zapolski

Jerome Francis Zapolski Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 79 years. The son of the late Mary (Dycewicz) and Frank Zapolski was born August 11, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Saginaw High School. He married Elaine Frances Bouchard, May 9, 1959. His wife of 58 years survives him. He was employed by General Motors as a tool and die maker, retiring with 40 years of service. Jerry was an avid hunter, enjoyed shooting and was a member of the Freeland Gun Club. He was very active, liked to keep in shape, bike, read, was a car enthusiast and enjoyed taking care of his cars. He loved his dogs, but most of all liked to spend time with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Elaine, are three children and their spouses, Rod and Deanna Zapolski; Troy and Kari Zapolski; Tiffany and Michael Kinnary; eight grandchildren, Ian, Evan and Elyse Zapolski; Kaitlyn, Brad and Lauren Gantz; Amy and Kyle Kinnary; two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Jeanie Sherwood; John and Paula Zapolski; Jackie and Gary Rupert; several nieces and nephews. A brother, James Zapolski, has predeceased him. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co.
