Jerome "Jerry" Greskowiak

Greskowiak, Jerome "Jerry" Saginaw, Michigan Much loved husband, father, grandfather and brother, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at home after a brief illness. Age 75 years. Jerry was born June 6, 1938 in Hamtramck, Michigan, the son of the late Harry and Eugenia (Kurczak) Greskowiak "Grey". He married Marge Scheich on May 11, 1963, celebrating 50 years of marriage this past May. He is also survived by their four sons, Jeff Grey, Lake Isabella, MI; Paul and Colleen Greskowiak, St. Charles, MI; Mark Greskowiak, Saginaw, MI; Greg and Maria Greskowiak, Land O Lakes, FL; six grandchildren, Rachel, Evan, Rebecca, Alex, Eddie and Yana; one brother, Larry Greskowiak, Wellston, MI; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Pat and Gene Torok, Clinton Township, MI; his beloved aunt, Helen Monastersky; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Jerry graduated from Hamtramck High School with the Class of 1955, and later served with the US Army. He had been employed in the automotive aftermarket with various companies, and had worked for Borg Warner Automotive for many years. After retiring, Jerry and Marge were involved in rental property management. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Road. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Jerry's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, where a parish vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Friends and family may then gather at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
