Jerrold J. Smith

Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the age of 51 years.
The son of the Janet (Pelkey) Smith and the late Timothy J. Smith was born on March 18, 1969 in Saginaw. Jerrold graduated from Swan Valley High School, the class of 1987. He married Tammy McManus on October 28, 1995; she survives him. Jerrold worked for Kelly Maintenance. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Saginaw Field and Stream. He enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and especially enjoyed time with friends and family.
Surviving besides his wife of 25 years, Tammy, are his mother, Janet, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Gary and Dorothy McManus and siblings: Timothy J. (Mary Kay) Smith, Jeffrey (Mary) Smith, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Terri Schultz, Timothy (Mary Jo) McManus, eight nieces and nephews: Timothy J. (T.J) Smith III, Megan Smith, Daniel Smith, Mitchell Smith, Jenna Smith, Joshua Schultz, Courtney McManus, Emily McManus, four great-nephews and many relatives and friends, including his good friend Bill Bolzman.
Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate with burial at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the liturgy. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Amazing Grace Pet Rescue or the Saginaw County Humane Society. Pursuant to the current state orders indoor building capacity is limited, face masks are required, and social distancing encouraged.
