Schuette, Jerry G. Midland, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away suddenly on Easter Sunday March 31, 2013 after fighting a long, courageous battle with heart disease at the age of 86 years. Jerry spent a joyous Easter Sunday in the company of his family. The son of the late Oliver F. and Mary K. (Kintner) Schuette was born November 28, 1926. He graduated with honors from Saginaw High School, class of 1945. He attended Central Michigan University. He served in the Army as Staff Sergeant during WWII. Jerry married Joan M. Niederstadt on January 10, 1959, she survives him. He retired from Dow Corning Corporation in 1985 after 35 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #165. Jerry enjoyed cooking, reading, music, classic films, Euchre, singing, and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife of 54 years, Joan, are their children, Jason (Barbara K. ) Schuette of Dallas TX, Suzanne (Robert) Ault of Midland, MI; grandchildren, Matthew T. Schuette, Michael N. Schuette; siblings Thomas (Beverly) Schuette, Jacklyn May, Richard (Janet) Schuette; sister-in-law Joyce Schuette, brothers-in-law James (Rose) Niederstadt, Gary (Marilyn) Niederstadt, Edward Fluder and many nieces and nephews and his beloved grandcat, Tinker. He was predeceased by a brother Carlton Schuette, a sister and brother-in-law Jean (Duane) Pruden, and step-sister-in-law Edith Fluder and his father and mother-in-law Herbert (Edith) Niederstadt and Margaret (Howard) McDonald. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Wallace H. Mayton III will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
