Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, at the age of 82 years.
The son of the late Frank and Arletta (Korbein) Hebl, Jerry was born on April 24, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Caroline A. Schaeding April 29, 1967; Caroline survives him. Jerry is a former member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Saginaw, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Prudenville. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards.
Surviving besides his wife, Caroline Hebl, are their daughter, son, and their spouses, Julie and Pat Jones, Paul and Stacy Hebl; five grandchildren, Ryan (Keara) Jones, Brandon Jones (Elizabeth McNeil), Owen Hebl, Leah Hebl, Drake Hebl; three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Baylor, and Charlotte; brother, David Hebl; and two sisters, Kathleen Davis, Kris (Chuck) Schuch. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by four brothers, Don Hebl, Tom Hebl, Dick Hebl, Robert Hebl; and three sisters, Barb Helpap, JoAnn Mersdorf, Lois King.
Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2565 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Rev. Paul Kruse will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Cancer Society, or the Covenant – McNally Hospitality House.
