Jerry M. Schramke Brant, Michigan Passed away Friday, November 11, 2016, at Sparrow Hospital. Age 74 years. The son of the late Emma (Schark) and Henry Schramke was born January 1, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Merrill High School, Class of 1960. He married Deanne S. McAllister, July 31, 1965. She survives him. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post #468 St. Charles and a Life-member of the Hemlock-Merrill V.F.W. Post #7302. Jerry was a carpenter and welder employed by Carpenter's Local 706 for 50 years. He was a member of Brant United Methodist Church and the Brewery Collectibles Club of America. He enjoyed restoring and showing his 1939 Chevrolet Pickup truck, working on the farm, cutting wood, but most of all, his family. Surviving besides his wife, Deanne, are a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Rachel Schramke; a sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Richard Neuenfeldt; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Everett and Loreen McAllister; Lee and Tressa McAllister; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Noon Friday, November 18, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate with military honors under the auspices of Hemlock-Merrill V.F.W. Post #7302. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
