Jerry R. McKibbin

Jerry R. McKibbin Hemlock, Michigan Went into the arms of his Lord and Savior on August 1, 2014 at the age of 79. He was born in Munising, MI on January 25, 1935 to the late William and Vivian (Bauer) McKibbin. He came to live in Merrill, MI in 1943. He attended Merrill Schools, graduating in 1953. He was employed by the Dow Chemical Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1987. He was also a member of the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Dept, retiring after 22 years of service. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and hickory nut picker. He enjoyed following his grandchildren's many activities. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Donna; his two sons, one daughter and their families. Douglas and his children, Phillip, Andrew (Rachel) and Aimee (Joshua) Jennings and their mother, Lynn; Rodney and Elaine and their daughters, Ashley and Allison; Lynette Maxwell and her children, Kathleen, and Aaron; one great grandson, Liam McKibbin. He was predeceased by his brother, Bruce, and sisters, Lucille Strouse and Virginia Vileo. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Rd. Hemlock where he became a member in 1955. Pastor Phil Bigelow will officiate with burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation with his family will be at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. on Sunday, August 3, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 and 5:00-8:00 p.m. and then on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. Mr. McKibbin's family wish to give a special thanks to Mid Michigan Hospice staff Becky E., Becky K., Jeff G., Penny D. and Kris K.
