Jerusha "Judy" Sawatzki

Sawatzki, Jerusha "Judy" Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Wednesday March 9, 2016 at the age of 86 years. Judy was born October 31, 1929 in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The daughter of the late Archibald and Monica (Minnic) Reed. Judy married Nolan Richard Sawatzki July 16, 1954. He predeceased her July 30, 2000. Judy enjoyed gardening, puttsing around the yard, bird watching and liked to crochet in the winter months. Judy was an avid golfer in her younger years. Surviving are her two daughters and a son: Devon (Robert) Tasior, Terri Voelker, Gregory (Diane) Brysselbout; five grandchildren: Kirstie Voelker, Aaron (Jerrilynn) Tasior, Bryan (Andrea) Tasior, Michael Brysselbout and Ashley Brysselbout; nine great-grandchildren: Cassie Rae, Alyssa Lynn, Michael, Nicholas, Reese Ava Renee, Justin, Hayley and Isaiah: two brothers and a sister; Charles "Tony" (Jolan Senk) Reed, Tom (Trudy) Reed, Francis "Fran" Susterka: Brother-in-law Harold Brutkiewicz , sister-in-law Carole Reed; sister-in-law Irene (Richard) Mattis; several nieces and nephews. Judy was predeceased by her son-in-law Randy Voelker, her brothers and sisters; Archie Reed, Robert Reed, Betty Karner, Monica Riley and Cresczentia Brutkiewicz, two brothers-in-laws Bud Susterka and Duane Sawatzki. The family would like to thank the staff at Iosco Medical Care for the wonderful care they gave their mother. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday March 14, 2016 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. John Mancini O.S.F.S. will officiate with burial to follow in Pinegrove cemetery.
