Jesus M. Flores

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2019, at his home with his wife by his side. He was 79 years old. Jesus Flores was born on January 1, 1940, in Carolina, Puerto Rico to the late Alejandro and Aida (Espanda) Flores. He graduated from High School in Puerto Rico, where he also took a few college classes. Jesus proudly enlisted in the United States Army serving from 1963 to 1965. He married the love of his life, Rosalee Juarez on June 26, 1965 in Hearne, Texas; she survives him. Jesus was employed by General Motors Grey Iron from 1969 to 2002; retiring after 33 years of service. He was a member of St. Francis de Sale Catholic Church. While a young man, Jesus enjoyed trout and salmon fishing with his buddies. He loved music and dancing, especially with his wife Rosalee. Above all, Jesus loved and cherished his family and friends. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Rosalee Flores of Saginaw; three daughters: Ros-Aida (Art) Acevedo; Marie (Corneilo) Villegas; Eliza Cristina Campos; nine grandchildren: Jessica (Josh) Buerkel; Dezi (Brianna) Campos, Alicia Villegas; Rosita Villegas; Manuel Villegas; Chaz Campos; Jason Rodriguez; Carolos Campos; and Angel Campos; three great-grandchildren: Aurora Vega; Isabell Cuellar; and Miya Reining; and two brothers: Ariel (Mercedez) Flores; and Luis Flores. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at St. Francis de Sales Parish, St. Christopher site, 3945 Williamson Road, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. John S. Mancini, OSFS will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church or to the Emmaus House of Saginaw.
