Beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side, Tuesday October 19, 2021 at Ascension St. Johns Hospital, Detroit, Michigan. Age 43 years.
The daughter of Robert E. Paetz and Grace M. Kehrer was born June 6, 1978, in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended grade School in Southfield then moved to Texas where she attended high school. She was married to Michael Metouski and had two children, Lauren T., and Dion M. She later married Kris M. Brooks and had a child, Kristian M. who died at birth. After living in Texas for many years, she relocated to Saginaw, Michigan where she lived and worked at the Mustard Seed Shelter until the time of her death.
Surviving are her two children, Lauren T. Paetz; Dion M. Metouski; a grandchild, Caleb Liam Hernandez; her mother, Grace M. Kehrer, all of Texas, her father and her step-mother “Mom II”, Robert E. and Carla A. Paetz, Saginaw; two sisters, Jaime L. and Markus A. Moberg; her nephew, Lars A; her niece, Carolina G. all of Norway; Neeley A. Simmons and her husband, Matt, Texas; her grandfather, W. C. Paetz Jr., Saginaw; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and her dear friend, Anthony Jones, Texas. Jillian was predeceased by her brother, Robert A. Burbank, her grandparents, Robert E. and Frances M. Graham, Muriel J. Paetz, James F. and Mary June Hintze and a cousin, Anne M. Paetz.
Cremation has taken place. The funeral liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday November 19, 2021, at St. Dominic Catholic Parish, St. Peter and Paul Church, 4735 W. Michigan, Saginaw, MI 48638. Rev. John Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Mustard Seed Shelter, 1325 Cherry St. Saginaw, MI 48601.
