Jim (Jimmy) Hackett

Jim (Jimmy) Hackett Torch Lake, Michigan Passed away Monday, August 12, 2019, at his home. Age 76 years. The son of the late Doris (Adams) and James Earl Hackett Sr. was born July 24, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and attended Delta College. Jim was employed as General Manager of Hickey Auto and sold real estate for CMW, Century 21 and Wilson Realty. After moving to Torch Lake, Jim sold Real Estate at Bayside Real Estate until his retirement. He was a member of the Fordney Club and loved boating. Surviving are his two sisters and their husbands, Sherron and Bob Garrow; Janet and John Nickless; his nieces, nephews and their spouses, Rob Garrow; James and Tera Garrow; Amy and Bill Hogan; Brian Garrow; Mishelle and Andy Vos; many great nieces and great nephews; his close friends, Larry and Steph Warner. Mr. Hacketts family wish to thank Dick Wenzel for his care and support. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Allen Sudmann will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the memorial service.
