Joan B. Berdella

Joan B. Berdella Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Friday, October 04, 2013, at Luther Manor. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Alberta (Helfrecht) and Arthur Hahn was born December 24, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married John Berdella, October 11, 1952. He passed away September 11, 2003. She had been employed by Frank's Super Market, St. Charles and was a member of St. Charles United Methodist Church, the Michigan State Extension and had served as a Girl Scout Leader. For several years, she proudly provided child care for two families. Joan enjoyed traveling, music, word search puzzles, board games, playing cards, watching soap operas, and loved dogs, cats and animals. She had a winter home in Sebastian, Florida. Surviving are three daughters and their spouses, Barbara and Craig VanDusseldorp, Leesburg, VA; Beverly and Jack Thomason, Atlanta, GA; Brenda Berdella, Saginaw, MI; three grandchildren, Kristin and Scott VanDusseldorp; Beau and Cortney Hoffman; a great grandchild is on the way. A brother, Arthur Hahn, Jr. has predeceased her. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013, at St. Charles United Methodist Church, 301 W. Belle Ave. St. Charles, MI. Friends may call at the Church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
