Joan M. Comstock

Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many who have gone before her, went home to be with her Savior on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the age of 87 years. 

Joan, a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan and graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1953.  She retired from Michigan Bell Telephone and was a member of Countryside Trinity Church. Joan married David E. Comstock on July 10, 1953. He predeceased her on August 31, 1998.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy W. and Luella (Stark) Gulliver; brothers, Leonard and Robert Gulliver; son-in-law, Danny Lee Scholtz; a special friend, Art Neville, many special girlfriends, especially Freida Walkowski and Mary Vogt, Donna Beuthin, Ruth Oliver Miller, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Scholtz, of Saginaw, son, David (Donna) Comstock, of Williamsburg, Virginia, one grandson, the joy of her life, David (Lauren) Scholtz, of Spring Lake, Michigan and two handsome great grandsons, Theo and Remy.
