Joan Marie Woodruff

Woodruff, Joan Marie Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017, at St. Francis Home, at the age of 87 years. Joan Marie Revard was born July 13, 1930, in Essexville, Michigan, the daughter of the late Joseph Alfred and Cecilia (Baker) Revard. She married Howard Lamar Woodruff on July 20, 1951; he predeceased her August 9, 2012. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Church. She had been employed by Vescios and Kroger Grocery Stores, retiring with about 25 years of service. She enjoyed crafting, baking and loved children. Surviving are her brothers and sister-in-law, Thomas and Carol Revard; James Revard; her brother-in-law, Ronald Hebert; many loving nieces and nephews, whom she had a profound effect upon by helping raise and nurture them. She was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters, Aderine Lewis, Rita Filary, Alvin Revard, Leeman Revard, Aileen Wilson, Teresa Spears, Joseph Revard Jr., and Frances Hebert. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 335 Johnson Street, Freeland. Rev. Fr. Robert DeLand will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Joans family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, where a parish vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
