Went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at the age of 83 years. The daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Talicska) Koviack was born on October 3, 1934 in Saginaw. She graduated from Saginaw High School, the class of 1952. She married William Duncan Budd III on July 2, 1966; he survives her. She worked at Amys Dress Shop. Joan was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Paris, St. Anthony of Padua Church where she worked as secretary and taught catechism, was involved with several church activities and trips. She also enjoyed bowling with family, gardening, playing BINGO and yearly trips to the casino. Surviving besides her husband, William are their children: Nina (Mark) Swan, Becca (Joshua) Dalton, Billy (Kristi) Budd IV, Tanya (Tom) McFarlan, grandchildren: Thea Swan, Zach McFarlan, her sisters: Betty Konesko, Virginia Favel, Kathy (Jesus) Luna, Rhonda (Steve) Korzecki, her sisters-in-law: Linda Fischer, Alma Budd and her brother-in-law, Gary Budd and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law Ned Budd, Stan Konesko, and Dennis Favel. Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3680 S. Washington Rd. Fr. Thomas Schmied, OFM, Cap. will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company, Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway on Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. and on Monday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
