Joann Loraine Ward

Ward, Joann Loraine (Morse) Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home at the age of 82 years. Joann was born September 28, 1931 in Saginaw, the daughter of the late A. J. and Loraine (Palmer) Morse. She was a graduate of Saginaw High School Class of 1949. She had been employed by Seitner's where she met Royce Ward. They were married September 4, 1954; he predeceased her July 7, 2004. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Joann was also a former member of the Saginaw Country Club. She and Royce enjoyed spending time at their home at Higgins Lake; she also enjoyed attending the Town Talk Series each year. She was a member of the 49ers (her high school class), the Royal Order of Jesterettes, and the Forget-Me-Nots. She leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle and Kevin Taylor and a son, Michael A. Ward, all of Saginaw; six grandchildren, Emily (James) Bauslaugh, Erik Anderson (Blake Carrier), Ashley (Nick) Chandler, Adam Anderson, Abigal Taylor, and Bryan (Stephanie) Taylor; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dane and Joann Morse, Gaylord; Daryl and Barbara Morse, Colorado; two sisters-in-law, Shirley and James Cole, Saginaw; Phyllis and James Markle, Standish; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Charles Ball will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., from 3:00 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 9:00 p.m. Monday and then on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
