Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Covenant – Harrison. Age of 75 years.

The daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Munson) Yeager was born on February 23, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, the class of 1963. She married Dale R. Gross on October 21, 1967; he predeceased her on January 15, 2007. She was a homemaker who supported her husband run the family farm. She enjoyed playing penny poker with her girlfriends, golfing, growing impatiens flowers, and bird watching. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons Dale Kenneth Gross and his wife, Amy, Grand Ledge, MI; Scott Alan Gross, Saginaw, MI; four grandchildren, Austin Scott Gross, Ava Marie Gross, Elijah Robert Gross, and Eric Alan Gross; brothers: Donald (Georgina) Yeager, Calvin (Sharon) Yeager, and Daniel (Judy) Yeager; sister: Rosella Keith; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Also surviving is Donald Schneider, Joanne’s special friend. Besides her spouse and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Bruce, a sister Zenith, and a sister-in-law Eve, and a brother-in-law Chuck Keith.

Honoring Joanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral chapel. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
