Joanne Mae Stephens

Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020 at her home; at the age of 81 years. The daughter of the late Joseph Frank and Mildred Marie (Hervert) Gracias, Joanne was born on October 8, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Arthur John Stephens in 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan; he survives her. Joanne served 41 years as a fry cook at McDonald’s on Dixie Highway, Bridgeport. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going to yard sales. Her family would say she was a wonderful person who helped family and friends. Especially cats as Joanne had a great love and compassion of animals. Above all, Joanne cherished the time spent with her family.

Surviving besides her husband of 62 years, Arthur; are one daughter and one son: Julie (Brian) Foley; Christopher Stephens; two grandchildren: Jason Foley, Sarah Foley; one great-grandson: Andrew Foley; one sister and one brother: Sharon Bailey; Thomas Gracias. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Honoring Joanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel. Message of condolences may be shared through the tribute wall of her obituary.
