Joanne Schrems (Jurek)

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Monday, November 13^th, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 67. Joanne was born in Saginaw on May 3^rd, 1956, to the late William & Marykay (Brasseur) Jurek and graduated from St. Stephen’s Catholic High School. Joanne spent her working years for JC Penney, retiring as a Catalog Supervisor after 35 years of service. She married Richard “Rick” Schrems on June 12^th, 1982. He survives her.  

Joanne is survived by her husband of 41 years, Rick Schrems; children Jeff Schrems & Stacey Schrems; grandchildren Keegan Schrems, Paige Schrems, Layten Schrems, and Kallie Rushlow; and brothers Bill (Pam) Jurek, Jim (Vicky) Jurek, Bob Jurek, and David (Sue) Jurek; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Joanne was preceded in death by her sister Jill Jurek.

In accordance with Joanne’s wishes, cremation is to take place, with a private family memorial service planned for a later date.
