Our loving husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Age 75 years.
Joe was born on November 20, 1946 in Harlan, Kentucky and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from General Motors after many years of service and was an avid auto enthusiast. Joe was a very talented bike builder. He enjoyed going on long rides with his wife, Kelly in Kentucky and Tennessee, on his 1973 Harley Davison Swap Meet Special “Nadine.” He loved to travel with Kelly, attending bike shows and spending time at their cabin at Higgins Lake. Joe enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions games with his grandson, Colton J. He was happy that Stafford made it to the Superbowl and was hoping for him to win a ring this year. He was a great father, teaching his son Quenton many life skills that he will cherish forever. Joe loved his family and spending time with them, including his loyal companion, Maverick and his favorite feline, Bentley.
Joe will be missed dearly by his wife, Kelly Crannell-Marino; son, Quenton Marino; grandson, Colton Marino; brother, Larry “Duke” Marino; sister, Sue (Kevin) Doehring; nieces and nephews, Brenda, Jill and Brandon, including a special nephew, Landon J. Poineau and his special friends, Billy Franak, Dave “PeeWee” Gilbert, Lon Miller, Paul Wayne Garrett and Myles Rusin, IV. He was predeceased by his sisters and brother-in-law, Genevieve (Rob) Short and Pat (Dan) Ball.
