Joe Louis Boatman

Boatman, Joe Louis Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, after a lingering illness at the age of 47 years. Joe Louis Boatman was born August 19, 1966, in Saginaw to the late Willie and Tempie Mae (Foster) Boatman. Joe was always funny, comical and friendly to everyone whom he would meet. He loved attending church and was attentive to helping the elderly. He loved his family, especially children, and was fond of music and video games. Mr. Boatman is survived by his five siblings, Linda Boatman, Willie Boatman, Elizabeth Boatman, Brenda Boatman, and Vanita Boatman; his aunt, Willie Mae Campbell; his favorite nephew, Jason Boatman; a special niece, Mela Wilkins; his dearest girlfriend, Katie Singleton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by four siblings, Mary Boatman, Deborah Boatman, Sammy Stafford, and Tommy Stafford. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013, at the W. L. Case Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. The Rev. Mary Allen will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on the family on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
