John Martin Brown was born September 10, 1929, in Saginaw, the son of the late Frank and Bertha (Bielski) Brown, and passed away on March 9, 2024. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1947. John served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean War. Along with his son, John K. Brown, he ran the Town and Country shoe departments in Saginaw and Midland. He and his wife, Suzi, later worked at the Antique Warehouse for many years. John enjoyed antiques and was an avid stamp collector.
He married Suzanne “Suzi” DuBois on July 7, 1956; she predeceased him February 26, 2012. He was also preceded in death by a son, John Keith Brown, in 2017, and by an infant son. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families, and by his neighbors and friends, Ed and Nancy Brown. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Edward, Albert, Steven, Tom, Joseph Donald, and Frank Brown, and by his sister, Mrs. Anna Brown.
John’s family would like to extend special thanks to all his personal caregivers for their kindness and care.
