Passed away Monday May 18, 2020 at Wellspring of Saginaw, at the age of 95 years. John was born March 25, 1925 in Saginaw. The son of the late William J. and Elsie (Rueve) Combs. John married Marjorie P. Bindon January 3, 1947, Marjorie predeceased him May 26, 2019. John Served in the USN during World War II. John Retired in 1976 from General Motors after many years of service John was a member of the VFW post 1566.He was an avid fishermen, Detroit Tiger fan and gardener. John and Marjorie wintered in Florida for over 45 years. John and Marjorie enjoyed camping with their family for many years.
Surviving are his children; Janet (Jerry) Hagarty- Cline, Dave (Sue) Combs, Margie (Al) Doty and John Combs; ten grandchildren; Amy (Lance) Harvey, Andrew (Krista) Hagarty, Kelly (Lance) Sedwick, Heather (Jason) Vernon, Bethany (Marc) Warezak, Bretton Combs, Carissa (Jon) Bauer, Angela (Ashraff) Harahsheh, Paul (Alexis) Doty, and John Combs III; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by two brothers and one sister; William Combs, James Combs and Evelyn Combs.
Do to the world wide health pandemic, A private family service will take place with Rev. Paul Hinz to officiate. With Entombment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
