John David Wartenberg Youngsville, North Carolina Formerly of Saginaw Our loving husband and father, passed away August 26, 2018, at his home in North Carolina, with family at his side. John was born to the late, George and Gertrude Wartenberg, January 28th, 1943, in Saginaw, Michigan. John married Beverly Neidhardt, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage, she survives him. They were blessed and honored to have 3 children, Sherri (Arthur) Scholtz, Stephanie Barrett (Ken Lee), Aaron (Kerri) Wartenberg. He leaves 10 grandchildren Justin (Sarah) Scholtz, Tara (Christopher) Maslin. Stephanie, John, Katherine, and Martin (Paige) Barrett. Jacob & Gracie Wartenberg, Anthony & Jaclyn Perez. 4 Great grandchildren Zachary Scholtz, Riley & Allie Maslin, and Owen Perez. John retired after 35 years from Grey Iron Foundry where he was a Patternmaker. He was an avid lover of animals with many Labrador Retrievers throughout his life. John was also active in many Masonic organizations, including Knights Templar, where he served as Past Commander of St. Bernard Commandery #16. He is predeceased by his brother, Duane Jim Wartenberg.
