John G. Garner Saginaw, Michigan Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on August 8, 2014 at Covenant Healthcare at the age of 74 years. The son of the late John and Maxine (Malicoat) Garner was born on February 26, 1940 in Saginaw. He married Ann Armstrong on June 11, 1960; she survives him. John retired from GM in 1990. He was a member of Swan Valley United Methodist Church. John was also a past member of The Saginaw Club. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, golfing, camping and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Ann are their children: Peggy LaDouce, John (LeeAnn) Garner, Kathy Romanelli, Lisa (Paul) Sudhoff, 12 grandchildren: Cody (Melanie) LaDouce, Justin (Shannon) LaDouce, Collin Garner, Rorey Garner, Amanda Westphal, C.J. Westphal, Shane McCracken, Parker Romanelli, Zachary Bohinski, Madison Bohinski, Emily Sudhoff, Abigail Sudhoff, and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his siblings: Delores Garner and Frederick Garner, and his step-brothers Tom and Terry Allen. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at W. L. Case and Company, Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral chapel on Monday from 2:00-8:00p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
