Hatton, John, Jr. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Covenant Cooper at the age of 97 years. He was born September 10, 1918 in Ohio to the late John and Millicent Annie (Williams) Hatton. He attended South Intermediate and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1936. He married Leone C. Sherman on June 21, 1941; she survives him. He served with the U. S. Army during WWII from May 1942 to October 1945 with the Ordnance Dept. USA, North Africa, and Italy. John was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone Co. from November 1936 to June 1980. His interests included camping, boating (sail and motor), water sports, golf, bowling, and woodworking. He was a member of the Methodist faith. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter and a son, Diane Lee Hatton Dice and David A. (Katherine) Hatton; three grandsons, Jason (Misty) Hatton, Joshua D. Hatton (Ursula), John William Dice; two great grandchildren, Dallen J. and Torie M. Hatton. His son-in-law, Geary L. Dice predeceased him in 1998. His brothers and sisters have also predeceased him. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel from 11:00 a.m. Monday until time of service.
