John Joseph Finazzi

John J. Finazzi Hemlock, Michigan Passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 31, 2017. Age 78 years. The son of the late Eva (Warba) and Joseph Finazzi was born November 24, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of St. Andrews High School. He married Mary Jo Kwater, November 22, 1963. She passed away October 14, 2015. John was employed by Morley Brothers and later by General Motors, Delphi Chassis, retiring with 30 years of service. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local 467. He was also a member of St. John XXIII, St. Mary in Hemlock Church, the Field and Stream Club and the Sons of Italy. He was an avid hunter. Surviving are a sister, Emma Jean Nitsos; a brother and sister-in-law, William and JoAnne Finazzi; a sister-in-law and her husband, Kathleen and John Kolhagen; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Finazzi and a sister, Annette Provencher. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 7, 2017, at St. John XXIII, St. Mary Church, 151 St. Mary Drive, Hemlock, MI. Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in St. Marys Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from Noon-6:00 p.m. Wednesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
