John Louis Martin

Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at his home. Age 72 years. The son of the late Marie (Smokoska) and Ralph Martin was born December 2, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Nadine M. Suffety, September 8, 1988. She survives him. John was employed by CSX Rail Road retiring with over 30 years of service. He was a Chef and enjoyed cooking. He enjoyed woodworking and golfing. Surviving besides his wife, Nadine, are a son, Steven Martin and a daughter, Madison Martin; a granddaughter, Aleyshia Martin; two brothers and their wives, Richard and Joyce Martin; James and Crystal Martin; several nieces and nephews, his special friend who was like a brother, Tim Gravlin. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor James Chinery will officiate.
