Roesler, John Junior "Jack" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday evening, July 19, 2014, at Luther Manor. Age 88 years. Jack was born January 24, 1926, in Saginaw, the son of the late John A. and Matilda Irene (Seeley) Roesler. He served with the US Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post #22. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Jack enjoyed working in his yard, camping and vacationing at Tawas, fishing, the casinos and Bingo. He married Ella H. Kisser on May 20, 1944; she predeceased him January 13, 2005. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Nancy Newton and her friend Gerry Ide; Johnnie Lee Roesler; Cindy and her husband Joe Smith; eight grandchildren and spouses, Duane and Beverly Westermann, Michael and Jeanne Westermann, Michelle and Scott Hogue, John and Debra Newton, Jeffrey and Ellen Newton, Shaun Newton, Mr. and Mrs. John Hall, Joseph Wm. John Smith; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alex Lichtenwald, Chuck Smith, Gladys Lenhart, Howard and Joyce Kisser, and Rose Kisser; many nieces, nephews and their families; and special friend, Lila Weaver. He was predeceased by a daughter, Janet K. Westermann; a son-in-law, Clifford "Butch" Newton; and by five sisters and spouses, Elizabeth Lichtenwald, Eva and Ferdy Meier, Emma and Harry Wirth, Margaret and Edward Kabobel, and Pat Smith; other brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry Meier, Floyd and Donna Kisser, Meryl Richmond, Jerry Kisser, and Joyce and Bill Carrigan. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Mark Lindloff will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military honors at the cemetery will be under the auspices of American Legion Post #22. Jack's family will receive friends at the chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
