Cisneros, John Treno San Antonio, Texas formerly of Michigan Went to eternal rest on Sunday August 24, 2014. John was born March 18, 1937, in Fairgrove, MI to the late Luis and Maria Cisneros. Surviving sisters are Carmen, Beatrice, Mary, Gloria, Francis and Lupe. Siblings Elias, Manuel, Treno, Vera, and Delphine predeceased him. John is survived by his six children: Debra Abolio (Alfredo), Cindy Midura (Dan), Kathy Lilies (Chris), John Cisneros Jr., Luis Cisneros, and Tim Cisneros (Cristie). John was blessed with 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Survivors also include several nieces, nephews, their families and many close friends. He recently earned his GED in June 2014 from the San Antonio Independent School District and gave part of the commencement speech. John was well known for his culinary skills. Family and friends would always ask where John was cooking so they could show up. In the 80's he went to chef school in California working at restaurants located in Beverly Hills. John brought his culinary skills and experience back to Saginaw, his hometown where his parents had settled down and raised their family. Eventually he ran a small catering business and at various times operated in Texas, Georgia, and Michigan. His clientele included actors, politicians, family, and friends. John was very social in the Saginaw community. He was always ready to entertain you with funny and amazing stories, music which sometimes included playing his beloved accordion, and cooking meals for his visitors. John also loved to dance, sing, and work on cars. He was unique and unrepeatable. Our kitchens will never again smell so wonderful. We thank all those who have consoled us in our time of great sorrow. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 6, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 915 N. 6th St. Fr.
