John W. Singleton

Singleton, John Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016, age 68 years. He was born on June 8, 1947, son of the late Ernest and Nina (Godina) Singleton, in Greenville, MS. He retired from the General Motors Flint Engine Plant after 42 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and woodworking. John was a hard worker and a great provider. Though he didn't have children of his own, he loved his niece, nephews and cousins as though they were. John had a big heart and enjoyed fixing the bikes of the neighborhood kids. He was the "Go to Guy" to fix things. Surviving are his sister, Linda (Jose) Rodriguez; his brother, Jimmy (Christina) Singleton, OR; his niece, Olivia (Deon) Grady, MD; his nephews, Jeremy (Jessica) Singleton, OR, Steven Singleton, OR, Steven (Stacey) Rodriguez and Gabriel (Lindee) Rodriguez; his special aunt, Delfina Castillo; his special cousins, Esther Castillo and Robert Castillo; also many other special relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Pastor Steve Rodriguez will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service.
