Jonathan Carl Wardin Hemlock, Michigan Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, surrounded by his family. Age 60 years. The son of Carol (Reimer) and the late Wilferd Wardin was born, December 21, 1953 in Hemlock, MI. He married the love of his life, Paula House, October 25, 1975. She survives him. Jonathan was a graduate of Michigan State University. He was employed by General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear (Delphi) retiring with over 30 years of service. He then was employed by Hemlock Elevator and later by Nexteer. He always loved helping with the family farm. He was an active member of St. Peters Lutheran Church where he volunteered and served as a Trustee. He enjoyed golf, hunting, was a pilot, but most of all, loved his family, particularly his grandbabies. Surviving besides his wife, Paula; his mother, Carol, are three children and their spouses, Jeremy Wardin and his wife, Salina; Josie Wardin Marsh and her husband, Neal; Jenny Wardin Liotta and her husband, Bryan; his beloved grandbabies who called him Papa; Haley, Jonny, Ellie and Trekstyn; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Mike and Joanna Wardin; Matt and Barb Wardin; Joel and Nan Wardin; Becca and Bill Zulch; Rachael Schettenhelm; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Ray and Gerry House; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris and Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday and at the Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
