Joseph Blazejewski, Jr. Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away surrounded by his family at the Cartwright Care Center, on Thursday, November 2, 2017, age 87 years.
He was born on April 22, 1930, son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kolasa) Blazejewski, Sr, in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Joseph married Lois Thompson on September 17, 1955, she predeceased him on May 31, 1981. He retired from the Saginaw Steering Gear, Plant 7 after many years of service and was a member of U.A.W. Local #699. He enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, scratch off lottery tickets and spending time with his loving family.
Joseph will be missed by his daughter, Rita Prudhomme; his son, Joseph G. Blazejewski; grandchildren, Holly (Anthony) Bloedel, David (Becky) Prudhomme, Michelle DeShone; great grandchildren, Dominic, Lily, Ava and Sophia; his sisters, Rita Tuszynski and Marie Balwinski; his brother, Leonard Blazejewski; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters; his son-in-law, Michael Prudhomme and his grandson, Michael Prudhomme II.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Christ The Good Shepherd Parish, St. Andrew Catholic Church, 612 N. Michigan Ave. Fr. Ronald Wagner will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
