Josephine Mary Ognisanti

Ognisanti, Josephine Mary Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at St. Francis Nursing Home at the age of 81 years. Josie was born November 21, 1931 in Saginaw to the late Emil and Angeline (Borrello) Ognisanti. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1949 and had been employed as a pharmacist assistant at State Vitamin (later Rite Aid) until she retired. Josie was a long time member of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and later a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was an avid movie buff and also enjoyed reading and playing cards. Above all, what Josie treasured most was time spent with her family. She never missed birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and other celebrations. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Lou and Pat Ognisanti, Saginaw; her niece, Angela (Bill) Frye, Arlington Hts., Illinois; two nephews, Thomas Ognisanti, Mt. Pleasant; Michael (Bonnie) Ognisanti, Skokie, Illinois; three grandnieces and two grandnephews, Isabel and Samuel Frye, Mia Ruth Ognisanti, Gavin and Madeline MacIntosh; many cousins and other relatives. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Francis Nursing Home and Heartland Hospice Care for their exceptional loving and professional care. Funeral liturgy will take place at 12 noon Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn. Rev. James Heller will officiate with burial Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
