Joyce Ann Archambault (Zimmerman)

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Wednesday, March 8^th, 2023, at the age of 77. Joyce was born in Monroe, Michigan, on May 25^th, 1945, to the late Melvin & Pearl (Gotha) Zimmerman, and was a 1964 graduate of the Michigan School for the Deaf. It was at school that Joyce met Leon Archambault and the two would marry on August 6^th, 1966. He preceded her in death on November 1^st, 2020. Joyce spent her years as a homemaker, helping raise the family that grew up around her and Leon, and the two were inseparable. She was instrumental in him founding the Tri-city Association of the Deaf and was a supporter of many such organizations through the region. Joyce loved crafts, spending much time in Leon’s woodshop helping him paint or work on various projects. She enjoyed playing bingo, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and working on crosswords. Playing games with her grandkids was her special way of connecting with them and she loved to teach them 31, Skip-Bo, and rummy.

Surviving are her children and their spouses, Kathy (Pero) Archambault-Zissler; Paula (Russ) Archambault; Pearl (Justin) Archambault; seven grandchildren, Christina, John (Kelbi), Lenny (Casey), Hope (Johnathon), Justin (Jazmine), Brandon, and Brianna; eight great grandchildren Junior, Rose, Donny, Jimmy, Joy, Faith, Derek, and Briella; siblings Mary (George) Evans, Bertha (Wayne) Cole, Rose (Gary) Cole, Carol Dart, John (Carol) Zimmerman; brother-in-law Robert Laraway; and former son-in-law Jerry Zissler; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by great grandson Nathanial; and siblings Melvin Zimmerman, Jr. and Ann Laraway.

Funeral services for Joyce will take place at 4:00pm on Monday, March 13^th, 2023, at W.L. Case & Co. 4480 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw, with a visitation taking place from 12:00pm until the time of service. Cremation is to follow.
