Joyce Marie Duve, was born on February 18, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan to Melvin and Mabel Duve. She peacefully departed from this world on April 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Merrill, Michigan.
Joyce was a woman of many passions and interests which included spending time with family and friends, engaging in ceramics, being a part of the shuffleboard league, fishing trips, dancing joyfully, cooking her renowned "Hot German potato salad", nurturing her garden full of roses and vegetables, indulging in movies like "The Count of Monte Cristo" and the Twilight series, watching Dr. Pol's veterinary adventures, and cherishing her pets along with her parrot. She will forever be remembered as a prayer warrior for her family.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Joyce is survived by her twin daughters: Tammy Birkner-Carter and Pamela Birkner-Elahi; grandchildren: Madison, Alexanderia, Union, Isaiah, Forrest, Awnan. Funeral will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. Larry Warsinski will officiate with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral chapel.
