Passed away suddenly together on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Judy was born on February 25, 1941 in Hemlock to the late Edward Japcinski and Gertrude Herweyer. Judy retired from Haines and Oeming Law Office following many years of loyal and dedicated service. Judy was an accomplished artist and seamstress, she enjoyed the Hallmark channel as well as singing and playing the piano. She was very welcoming to all who crossed her path.
Mike was born on August 21, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa to the late Mike T. and Francis (Toddish) Nagy. Mike retired from General Motors, Saginaw Steering Gear after many years of loyal and dedicated service. He was an avid deer hunter, fisherman and enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, Redwings and Nascar.
Mike and Judy were married on September 3, 1960 and were members of Holy Family Catholic Church. Together they owned property near Taquamenon Falls where they spent many cherished hours with family.
Surviving are their 2 sons and their wives, Michael (Toni) Nagy and Matthew (Shari) Nagy, 7 grandchildren Johna (Brandon) Towery, Stephanie Nagy, Alycia Marcy (Taralina), Sarah (Robert) Scott, Amy (Cody) Carr, Jennifer Marcy and Nicole Perkins, nine great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Judy and Mike’s siblings, Don (Lisa) Nagy, Bob Lappeus and Mary Herweyer. They were predeceased by their siblings, Mary Lappeus, Rosemary (Joseph) Smith and Phil Herweyer.
Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m on Thursday November 10, 2022 Holy Family Catholic Church 1525 South Washington Avenue Saginaw, Michigan. Rev Fr. Prentice Tipton will officiate with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, Michigan from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Holy Family Catholic Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
