Judith Ann Wacker

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020 at Covenant Harrison. Age 85 years.
The daughter of the late Louise (Pucall) and Harvey Sheffer was born July 5, 1935 in Cheboygan, Michigan. She graduated from Saginaw High School, Class of 1953. She married James E. Wacker, January 15, 1955, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Zilwaukee. Her husband of 64 years passed away February 13, 2019. Judy’s first and most important career was raising her 6 wonderful, intelligent and good looking children. In 1973, she was employed as a Paraprofessional at Arthur High School. She was known by all AHHS students as the resident narc. She retired after 20 years of service. Lumberjacks, Lumberjacks, Chop, Chop!!! Judy was a faithful, active member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. (Court and Bond) She enjoyed reading, reading and more reading. (especially the National Enquirer). Judy also enjoyed getting her nails and hair done, shopping, playing euchre, going to the movies and crossword puzzles. Judy had a kind, generous and loving heart and helped many people in need whether it was big or small.
Surviving are six children, Pam (Paul) Masker of Frankenmuth; Chris (Norm) Wilsey of Saginaw; Linda (Dave) Jordan of Linden; Jim Wacker, Jr. of Sugar Land, TX; Mike Wacker of Pasadena, TX; Sue (Bryan) Wagner of Saginaw; 13 grandchildren, Steve (Kara), Andy, Pete (Kelly), David, Heather (Megan), Mark (Rachal), Alex (Allie), Jake, Ashley (Cody), Kim, Kelly, Megan (Mark), and Nicole; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Sally (Jack) Maine, Suzanne (Howard) Bank, Carol (Pat) McKee; and a special cousin, John Taylor. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved stepfather, Harold Waack, a brother and his wife, TN (Shirley) Sheffer and a sister-in-law and her husband, Marion (John) Ozerites.
The funeral service will take place at Noon Monday, August 17, 2020, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church, 1020 Court St. at Bond St. Pastor Julius Buelow will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church.
