Loving wife to husband Ronald B. Fisher and loving mother of three, passed away on January 16, 2024, age 83. Judith was born on December 18, 1940, in Wausau, Wisconsin. She grew up in a large family surrounded by six siblings. Her parents, John and Mary Szutkowski, predeceased her. Judy met her husband Ron in 1959 in Wisconsin and after a short engagement they married on October 24, 1959, spending 64 years of marriage together. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, that never stopped putting others above herself even in her final days.
Judy retired from Saginaw General in 1989. She then took care of her grandchildren which were the joy of her life. In her free time, she loved going to the casino, bowling, sewing and baking. She also attended all of her grandsons' sporting events. She was their biggest cheerleader and was so proud of them.
Judy is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ronald, children: Terry Darland, Mike (Peggy) Fisher, and Kristi (Brian) Wrobel; grandsons: Scott Jr, Austin, and Alex; many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by a special sister and best friend, Mary Kolinski. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Scott Darland.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan, 48603. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Judy's name to the American Cancer Society.
