Judith K. “Judy” Henning of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and best friend passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was 83 years old.

The daughter of the late Russell G. and Stella P. (Anderson) Marker was born on April 9, 1941. Judy was a proud 1959 graduate of St. Andrew High School and married Gerald A. “Jerry” Henning on July 25, 1959; he preceded her in death on July 29, 2007.

Judy was a member of St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, and previously St. Mary’s Cathedral. She enjoyed spending time at their homes up north on the lakes, reading, playing cards, cooking, baking, and spending time with family.

Judy is survived by her children: Russell Henning (Suzanne Schultz) and Debra Henning (Gary Fick); three granddaughters: Brittney (Chad) Revell, Rachael Henning, and Lindsay Henning; two great-grandchildren: Emilia Revell and Elliot Revell; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lynn and Ernest Krygier Jr.; and brother-in-law, Edward Henning. Also surviving are many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friends: Janet and Roger Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. “Jerry” Henning.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Saginaw County Commission on Aging, Compassionate Care, and Covenant VNA Hospice for their kind, committed, and dedicated staff.

A funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at St. Dominic Parish, St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1310 Malzahn Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. Rev. Fr. Richard John will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, MI 48603 on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Judy will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
