Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 73 years old. Judith Rae Glave was born on October 2, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Herbert L. and Lorraine F. (Heenan) Glave. She was a proud 1963 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Judy married the love of her life, David S. Redman on August 23, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan; he survives her. She was employed with Saginaw Steering Gear as an assembly line worker; retiring in June 1997, after 30 years of service. While living in Saginaw, Judy and David were faithful members of Zion Lutheran Church on Hancock Street. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4141, Moose Lodge 82, and the American legion Post #254. Judy enjoyed taking trips to the casino and vacationing. She also enjoyed cooking for both family events and social gatherings. Above all, Judy loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her fun and vibrant personality, her excellent sense of humor, an indomitable spirit that encompassed love and compassion, and for the ability to teach everyone she loved to live each day to the fullest.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, David S. Redman of Oscoda; three daughters and one son: Kelly (Jack) Stilwell of Marquette; David (Barb) Redman of Indianapolis; Wendy (Joe) Reed of Midland; Stacy (Redman) Bauer and her fianc, Jason Potter of Birch Run; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a good friend, Carol Shoultes of Bentley. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorials Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Shriners Hospital for children
