Julianne Kay Scherzer

Julianne Kay Scherzer Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday April 11, 2018, at the Cartwright Care Residence. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late, Elsie Lydia (Fielbrandt) and Herman William Hopp was born October 29, 1945 in Fairgove, Michigan. She married Robert Scherzer, June 26, 1971. He survives her. She had been employed by the Agriculture Conservation Service for several years. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Hemlock, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years and was a member of the Altar Guild. Julianne was a member of the Red Hat Society, loved to travel and took many cruises with her husband, and enjoyed gardening. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband, Robert, are two children, Heidi Scherzer; Ryan Scherzer and his fianc, Ashley Simoneau; a brother, a sister and their spouses, Vernor and Connie Hopp; Carolyn and Charles Kerns; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Richard E. Mundt will officiate with private family committal in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
