Julie Ann Lavrack-Thomas of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 6, 2022. She was 44 years old. Julie Ann Lavarack was born on May 31, 1977, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Richard Allen Lavrack and the late Nancy Jean (Quackenbush) Lavrack-Linton. In 1994, Julie honorably received a presidential recognition letter from President William Jefferson Clinton for her intelligence and academic success. Julie was a 1996 graduate of Chesaning High School. Following graduation, she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant credentials and began working at MediLodge of Montrose for 10 years where she was able to use her gifts of compassion and appreciation for the elderly to care for patients. Julie also worked as a Retail Manager for various companies over the years. Julie married the love of her life and soulmate, Warren Eddy Thomas, on September 4, 2009; together, they had 2 beautiful children, Warren Edison (12) & Lucille Rose (4). Julie was a faithful and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She enjoyed camping, organizing gatherings, as well as creating memories with her family along the way. She had an indomitable spirit, beautiful soul, and always became the center of all family events. Above all, Julie loved and cherished her family; devoting her entire life to her husband, son, and daughter. Julie left her indelible mark in this world by passing on her wit and wisdom, through her ability to communicate and connect with all people, especially the elderly, and for living a truly remarkable life.
Surviving are her husband, Warren Thomas; a son, Warren Edison; a daughter, Lucille Rose; father, Richard Lavrack; two sisters: Rebecca (Melvin) Stroik; Jennifer Lavrack; her sweet dog, Koko; special cousins/friends, Tom and Carrie Renner; special friend, Laura Bell; 8 nieces and nephews: Brianna Janay, Brianna Jean, Joseph, Alexa, Alayna, Lucas, Noah, and Ava. Also surviving are a host of many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Jean Lavrack-Linton.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Covenant VNA Hospice, Christina Woods of the UofM Rogel Cancer Center, and The Cowling Family for all the love, help, and care they provided to Julie and her family.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. Pastor JD Howell and Pastor RB Oullette will officiate. Honoring Julie's wishes cremation will follow the service. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Monday at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
