Julio Cuadrado Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at his home. Age 95 years. The son of the late Francisco and Anselma (Maldonado) Cuadrado was born April 25, 1920 in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. He married Aida Velez. His wife of 68 years survives him. He served with the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed by General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry for 13 years. He was a member of the Masons. He enjoyed gardening and was an excellent host and tour guide for those visiting him in Puerto Rico. Surviving besides his wife, Aida, are five children and their spouses, Julio Cuadrado; Betsy and Luis Ortiz; Jose and Margie Cuadrado; Ana Cuadrado and Edwin and Nannette Cuadrado; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Three children, Luis, Carmen and Victor, and three brothers and three sisters have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Jerry Flores will officiate with Military burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859.
