Karen Elizabeth (Hickey) Gharib of Saginaw
Age 64
Passed away hand in hand with her son Sami on Monday, April 25th, 2022. Karen was born on November 30th, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Donald & Patricia (Brown) Hickey, and was a graduate of Eisenhower High School. She spent over 26 years working as an operator and then in Fraud Prevention as Michigan Bell turned into Ameritech, then SBC, and finally AT&T. Karen lived life on her own terms and is remembered as being caring and compassionate, with a big heart. Most importantly, Karen was an attentive daughter to her parents throughout their life and a devoted mother to her son and best friend Sami.
Karen is survived by her son Sami Gharib; Sister-in-law Marcia Hickey; and nephews James and Kelin Hickey; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
Karen was preceded in death by parents Donald & Patricia Hickey; siblings Robert (Gloria) Hickey & Gregory Hickey.
